I have dabbled with drawing a bit when I was younger, but it has only been recently, the last year or so, that I have began taking my artwork more seriously. I have taken some watercolour and mixed  media classes, but have only just scratched the surface. I am always trying to teach myself new techniques and studying art history on my own via the internet. I try to find inspiration everywhere, letting the moments proceed with their natural fluidity and trying to put that fluidity to paper. I am currently learning the rudiments of drawing and painting, and I hope to apply what I learn to my abstract ideas that leads to an understandable and appreciated expression. Since I have been posting work on this site since I was 16, I also enjoy watching my own evolution as someone with no art experience to someone who is gaining experience over time. I also enjoy watching a pictoral and poetic growth in my age, from an awkward brooding teen into a young adult and now as someone who is quickly coming up on 30. My brain has apparently at the stage where it has stopped growing and is now organizing experiences into something that can be made tangible. I am now at a time of reflection, and meditation, reviewing my life thus far and deciding what can go and what to use and what to express. I suppose I am lost in thought, as I am slow to put my ideas to paper. I find myself starting many projects and not really completing them, sometimes I return to them after a year or more and add more, but never quite finish satisfactorily. I hope this soon passes and I can begin to create more quickly.

I also want to be as unorthadox as possible. I don't really want to do what has been done for decades or more. I want to discover what makes me unique as an artist, something I can exploit to create my own style of creation. I suppose that is a quest everyone undertakes at some point.
